Timberland PRO > PRESS RELEASES JGA Wins Three A.R.E. Design AwardsMar 23, 2009 - International retail strategy and design firm, JGA was honored with three Awards at the 38th Annual A.R.E. (Association of Retail Environments) Design Awards Event held during GlobalShop in Las Vegas. Timberland PRO was the Grand Prize winner in the Pop-Up Store category for its eco-conscious construction site design. It also received a Visual Presentation Award for its dramatic graphics highlighting the “everyday heroes” that represent their customers. The North Face’s new sustainability store in Boise was also recognized with a Visual Presentation Award for the large-scale atrium staircase mural that was printed and applied with eco-friendly materials. JGA chairman, Ken Nisch remarked on the inspiration behind the Timberland PRO design, “ Giving a nod to the workers they serve, the highly industrial exhibit space clearly communicates the brand and highlights the distinguishing features of the PRO lines of footwear, while embracing environmental values and sustainability.” Mr. Nisch commented about the goal of Gold Level LEED Certification in The North Face’s largest sustainability store, “Working closely with the landlord, we were able to incorporate a wide range of high-efficiency and conservation of energy systems along with a minimal amount of sustainable materials.” JGA is a full service brand strategy, retail design and architecture firm continually evolving to provide their clients with innovative, interactive and experienced-focused designs reflecting today’s global marketplace.
