Godiva Chocolatier Is Treated To A Retail Design Award
Mar 26, 2006 - Retail brand strategy and design firm, JGA won a National Association of Store Fixture Manufacturers (NASFM) Retail Design Award in the category of Food Retailer for their design of the new Godiva Chocolatier prototype. The award was presented on the first night of the annual GlobalShop conference in Orlando, Florida.
According to JGA chairman, Ken Nisch, “With the company’s European history, a visual platform inspired by art nouveau was a natural place to start. In the interest of modernizing this image, the architectural influences of the Viennese Wiener Werkstatte movement, with its use of geometry, linear pattern, high contrast graphic elements and luxurious materials, is both modern and alluring. Polished mosaic marble tiles, the cast resin architectural details and the gently curved surfaces are juxtaposed against the rigid geometries.”
JGA, one of the nation’s leading retail design, brand strategy and architecture firms is committed to providing their clients with innovative, interactive and consumer-responsive designs to compete in today’s global marketplace. Additional JGA award winning environmental and graphic design projects include: Brookstone, Hershey’s, Jaguar, Levenger, Lindt, Spencer’s, The North Face and Metropark.
