Objective
Create an evolution of the Brookstone retail environment that promotes interactivity and communication of high touch, high style and a sense of accessibility.
Result
The new store environment is highly interactive, presenting a series of distinct product and activity zones to the customer. In addition it provides a sense of functional and accessible luxury while communicating a high touch, yet high style experience.
Design Elements
- The open high ceiling loft-like space has a palette of whites, bone, brushed metals, translucent fabrics and sculpted panels that implicitly suggest natural elements; flowing water and billowing clouds; the perfect setting for state-of-the-art and futuristically designed products.
- The storefront is a sculpted form that appears to have been shaped from a singular piece of material - the use of a gloss-white aluminum sandwich material and the integration of the signage element with its sculpted angular return, carries the brand’s modern and minimal aesthetic to one of its most iconic elements, the storefront.
- A series of specialty fixtures that fully integrate the capabilities of the floor and wall fixtures, provide a continuity of materials with the zone’s overall architectural finishes.
- Anchoring this area is a Chair Shop creating a segmented and intimate environment. Away from the store’s traffic, this Zone allows the customer to focus on the features and benefits presentation delivered via a large plasma screen and to sample a range of chairs and features displayed in a radial flowing pattern.
- The core merchandising zone flowing from the entry exhibit space through to the Rejuvenation Zone features a highly flexible and interchangeable shelving system highlighting other key categories within the Brookstone environment, progressing into an Impulse Zone, service counter and travel section plasma screen.
